Elle Fanningis channeling all of your favorite pop stars in her new filmTeen Spirit.
In a PEOPLE exclusive clip, the 20-year-old actress plays Violet, a shy British teenager, as she appears in front of a panel of judges for a singing audition.
As she takes the stage, Violet introduces herself to the judges before asking, “When should I start?”
Fanning gushed about the role toBillboardlast week, saying, “I always had this dream of being a pop star. That feeling, like I can just let loose and perform, was so attractive.”
Teen Spiritis in theaters April 5.
