TheGrey’s Anatomystar, 53, shared a video on Instagram explaining how she gained — and quickly lost — cool points while trying to impress her daughter with products fromHailey Bieber’s skincare brand,Rhode.
“So I was trying to be Mom of the Year, or Mom of the Week or something, to the 14-year-old who’s so embarrassed right now,” she said. “And so I was like, ‘Oh, let me get her something super cool and then she’ll think I’m cool,’ and, you know, I’m just trying to stay cool, right? So look what I did.”
Themom of threeheld up a box decorated with the Rhode logo.
“Do you see it Stells? Are you ready?” she asked the teen, who recalled that when she saw the package in the mailbox, she initially thought it was PR.
“She thought I was on the PR list and I just got it sent to me. That would make me a cool mom,” Pompeo explained. “But when she found out that I just went online and ordered it like everybody else, my stock dropped, yo. It dropped.”
The actress handed her daughter the package, which contained all four shades of the brand’s peptide lip tints.
“So we’re gonna wait for the review, but so far the update is I’m not cool ‘cause I’m not on the Rhode PR list,” she joked. “Hailey, are you listening?”

“And what do you think?” Pompeo asked her daughter, who answered, “I love it. I’m excited to try it.”
TheGrey’s Anatomystar also appeared to be excited at the prospect of the lip tints, fanning them out and saying, “Look at all these gorgeous colors.”
The actress offered up praise for Bieber’s brand’s “beautiful” packaging. “Good job, Hailey,” she added.
“You just, like, went up points and then you’re back where you were,” the 14-year-old elaborated.

“Listen, who even knows if there is a PR list,” Pompeo said. “Do you know how popular she is? She may not need to give anybody anything for free.”
“Anyway, that’s my story. Miss y’all,” she finished.

Pompeo’s cool points likely skyrocketed after she shared her video, as Bieber almost immediately responded, writing, “*adds Ellen to PR list immediately.”
“LOVE U SO MUCH!!!!!!” the founder added.
In addition to Stella, Pompeo also shares kids Sienna May, 9, and Eli Christopher, 6, with her husband, music producerChris Ivery, whom she married in 2007.
