At the2024 Oscarson Sunday, the actresses, who portrayed Gwen Stacy and Aunt May in theAndrew Garfield-ledAmazing Spider-Manmovies (2012 and 2014), had a reunion, sharing sweet moments on and off the stage.
Alongside Michelle Yeoh, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Lange, Field, 77, was one of the past Best Actress winners who introduced this year’s nominees in the category.
Field introduced Stone, 35, and lauded her performance as Bella Baxter inPoor Things: “Curious as a puppy and hungry as a bear, Emma Stone’s brilliant Bella is unhinged, uninhibited and completely original.”

ThePoor Thingsactress — who also worked with Field on the 2018 seriesManiac—reflected on her special connection with the actress.
“I just love her and what she was saying — all of those women I admire so much and look up to so much,” she said, “so it was really [special].”

“And Sally Field I’ve gotten to work with three times,” she toldGMA, adding that the stars both share a birthday too: Nov. 6.
And, as of Sunday, the stars have something else in common: two Best Actress wins. Stone previouslytook home the honor in 2017forLa La Land, while Field won in 1980 forNorma Raeand 1985 forPlaces in the Heart.
