Thenominations for the 96th annual Academy Awardswere announced Tuesday, withOppenheimerin the lead with 13 total nods.
Emma Stonereceived a Best Actress nomination for her performance inPoor Things,plus she qualified as one of the nominated producers under the film’s Best Picture nod. Stone, 35 and a previous Oscar winner, is now the second woman to be nominated for acting and Best Picture for the same film,after Frances McDormand forNomadland, which wonboth spots in 2021.
Additionally,Poor ThingsdirectorYorgos Lanthimosis nominated for Best Director and under its Best Picture nomination.
Bradley Cooperreceived three nominations this year: Best Actor, Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, for starring, producing and co-writingMaestro.

Nolan, 53, was most recently nominated at the90th Oscarsceremony for his producing and directing work onDunkirk. He has also received Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay nominations for 2011’sInception.His breakout movie,Memento, earned him a Best Original Screenplay nomination back in 2002.
Martin Scorsesereceived two nominations, in Best Director and Best Picture, as a director and producer onKillers of the Flower Moon. Scorsese, 81, previously won Best Director in 2007 for his movieThe Departed.
HisBest Director nomination marks his 10th career nominationfor that award, and he also now stands as the oldest living Best Director nominee, according to the Academy.

French filmmaker Justine Triet, who co-wrote and directedAnatomy of a Fall, received nominations in Best Original Screenplay and Best Director for her work on the Sandra Hüller–starring film. Triet’s nomination for Best Director marks the ninth time a woman has received a nomination in that category.
Jonathan Glazer received Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay nominations forThe Zone of Interest. The film received five total nominations Tuesday, including for Best Picture and Best International Film.American Fiction’s Cord Jefferson is recognized underBest Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Under the Best Sound category, Tom Ozanich and Dean Zupancic are both listed twice, for their work onMaestroandThe Creator.
