The Kenya Power and Lighting Company – an electricity transmissions and distribution company that supplies to most of East Africa –announcedon Monday that three Rothschild’s giraffes died in the Soysambu Conservancy over the weekend. The company reported that it began “the process of enhancing the clearance” of the power lines at the conservancy and that they are working with Kenya Wildlife Service and Soysambu Conservancy officials “to make any other rectifications that may be required....

This is the first time in 20 years that the marine species' population has surpassed 1,500.The Hawaiian monk seal is one of the most endangered seal species in the world and is only found around the Hawaiian archipelago, which includes the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands,per NOAA....

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacomaannouncedthat Kirana, a six-year-old female Sumatran tiger, died on Monday morning “after experiencing severe injuries during a breeding introduction as part of a plan to help save her endangered species.” The zoo was attempting to arrange a mating between Kirana and Raja, the zoo’s two-year-old male Sumatran tiger, which led to the female’s “life-threatening injuries” according to the announcement....

He used an off-trail route and did not return at his expected time. He was reported missing a day later.Officials recovered Zalokar’s body near the summit of Mount Clark on Tuesday and said an investigation into his death is ongoing....

From the outside, the container looked untouched, with the sticker sealing the lid still in place. But when she opened upthe formula, the seal over the inner bag was open.
